Painting on Handmade Paper.
This is my Pulp Fiction Project. I’ve started with Pulp Paper from Khadi Papers, www.khadi.com
Then I’ve made photos of it and printed them on watercolour paper from Søstrene Grene.
I experimented with one image in Photoshop: I’ve added a part of a photo from trees to it, see below.
The next step will be to paint it over with other materials.
Give it a try yourself, maybe you’ll like it!
The next step is done! Gisela Widmer Reichlin, my dear teacher, prepared watercolor paper with black tea and a kind of purple colored tea, beautiful to start with.

Then we repainted it with Faber Castell Polychromos pencils. See the results below.

On a cloudy afternoon in late November (20th) I’ve decided to give it a try with the Sunprint Refill Kit.
As a base for this project I used a photo I made in Zürich from the Fraumünster clock arrows. I cut the form with a cutter to use it as a template.
You can buy this at ars-imago committed to photography
I asked for help in CoPilot:
How can I use the Sunprint Refill Kit from Lawrence Hall of Science, University of California, Berkeley?
Short answer: The Sunprint Refill Kit is very simple to use: place an object (e.g., leaf, flower, key) on the special paper, expose it briefly to sunlight, and then rinse it with water. This creates a permanent, deep-blue print – a cyanotype.

In December 2025 there was an exhibition of some Cyanotype paintings from Vivian Ammerlaan in the Singer Museum in Laren, Holland.

On Friday 13th 2024 we were offered a wonderful concert by the famous Singer La Lupa in Grossmünster Zürich. This was a fundraising concert organized by Amnesty International, thank you so much for this opportunity!
